Canon PIXMA MG3170 Reviews– Multifunction devices or MfD are all print, scan and copy and sometimes fax devices. MfD is often targeted in offices as they save valuable office space due to a single device instead of four devices. The Pixma MG3170 is not different; Canon is one of the last ones in contrast to the stable and traditional boring MfD, it looks nice and is even suited to adorn the living room in style. In fact, the general home user is targeting more than an office, with cheerful features like Wi-Fi printing and adding 5 fun effects to the image printed.
MG3170 is a medium sized device and weighs only 5.5 kg. The red body of the black wine has sharp edges and is pleasing to look at the design. While the trays may seem a little sticky, they are actually quite flexible and therefore unbreakable unless subjected to excessive pressure. Glossy surface powder means that especially fingerprints make it easily visible.
Based on thermal inkjet technology, MG3170 two cartridges come with black and Tri-Color. The cartridges can be installed by opening a door to the front-right of the device which is more appropriate than the normal method of sticking your hand in the bay to make the same. Both paper trays are located on the front side. These trays have extensions that can be retracted to preserve space during storage and to increase their length to keep the paper. The input tray can hold 100 sheets of paper that are adequate for any Soho or SMB. When the printed paper face goes up and top edge, the paper accepts the face down and the top edge. Automatic duplex mode means that two-sided printing occurs without having to manually feed the page to print on the second side.
The user-friendly control panel is located on the left side and has a 7-segment display that will display up to 9 print outputs. So you can choose to print up to 9 copies from here, but you can’t reduce or enlarge them. There is a soft power button just above the screen, there is a button on the right side to add the number of copies. Strangely enough, there is no button to reduce the number of copies and the only way to do it is to keep pressing until the indicator reads. Available with a button fit-to-Page button to select three preset paper sizes. Under this, there is an appropriate scan button that allows you to scan directly to the PC with automatic scanning mode, which automatically recognizes the document type, and then performs optimal scan and save settings. The custom color and black copy buttons also provide a settings button to make copies of documents and change device settings. The blue LED shows the Wi-Fi status.
